About Us
Melissa's Magical Years Nursery delivers childcare for children from six months to five years old.
We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for children and a a fun, positive and caring environment which we believe is crucial to your child's happiness and healthy development.
We value the growth of each and every child, and our aim is to provide the perfect environment for them to build on their strengths, interests and curiosities through play and exploration in order to develop new abilities and form close relationships.
We are part of Early Years Quality Partnership and are registered and inspected by Ofsted. At Melissa's Magical Years Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. We are therefore focused on enhancing your child's communication and language ability, physical development, and their personal, social and emotional development. We provide learning in literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. This is all done through play and in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Our Story
Melissa's Magical Year's is a new nursery based in Uxbridge and is a family run nursery, owned and managed by Melissa O'Keeffe. Melissa is fully qualified and has over ten years experience in formal childcare settings, starting out as a Nursery Assistant and assuming the role of Nursery Manager in more recent years.
The building itself is a converted chapel in the Rockingham Road Conservation Area, and has been a childcare setting for some years before we took possession. In 2020 it was transformed into Melissa's Magical Years Nursery and provides spacious playrooms, separated baby and toddler rooms and an outdoor play area. We believe we have created a calm, fun, safe, and educational nursery setting for your children.
We are growing organically and we are already fortunate enough to be regularly recommended by the great families within our nursery community.
